Creative Sales Executive – Media, Events, Conference & On-Line Sales

If you are seeking a role where you are stuck behind a desk, watching the clock and waiting for 5pm to arrive, then please do not waste your time reading on as this role is certainly not for you.

However, if you want a career where you are a valued member of a dynamic team which is renowned for its innovation, interaction and pushing the creative boundaries of the sector we work in – then you are certainly the person, we wish to speak with.

You can say 2011 has been quite successful for us, we launched one of the world’s largest online information portals, became the most followed UK sector account on twitter with 37,000 followers, sold out every major event, training session and exhibition we produced, launched the UK’s biggest networking club for sector management and still had time to throw parties for several hundred people.

What exactly do we do

Based from offices in High Holborn, Netlaw Media is a legal media, events and education provider to the UK, European and Global legal sectors (But before you ask, we are not always seeking staff that understand the legal sector or have law degrees. We are a media and events company who are happy to train the right people).

We are a fast growing outfit who love a great time, but back it up by producing the best events in the sector. Our major events attract some of the biggest names and audiences within the marketplace and we are very advanced in social media.

After 3 years development and recent investment, Netlaw Media is now ready to take the global legal sector by storm. We are currently staging the biggest legal IT event ever seen in the UK and very soon, we are unleashing plans which will take Netlaw Media to a level never seen or experienced in the marketplace.

What we are seeking

Following a hugely successful 2011, Netlaw Media is now expanding to offer an opportunity for two Sales Executives with a minimum of 12 months proven conference, event and / or B2B sales experience to join our team, if successful, you will need to dust of that passport as we are going international with our events and if the thought of spending a few weeks away in some exotic location sounds like fun, then you just might find yourself in a location which last week felt like worlds away.

The successful applicants will be based from Netlaw Media’s offices in High Holborn, where you will be given the right mix of guidance and autonomy to help produce a high level of development and on target earnings.

During the initial training period of 12 weeks, a basic salary and commission structure will be offered. Following this 12 week period and your 3 month review, if you have proven yourself, we will offer you a full time role with salary increase plus a commission package which will be offered to match performance.

To be considered for this role, all applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 12 months conference, event or B2B sales experience
  • A professional telephone manner
  • A proactive and positive attitude to selling and closing deals
  • Strong relationships skills with professionals at all levels
  • Experience working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • A strong drive to be an ambitious team player
  • Great Self motivation and be target driven
  • Intermediate to advanced IT / typing Skills
  • An Excellent command of English both spoken and written
  • A general knowledge of the legal sector is preferred but not essential
  • Finally, you do not need to have a university degree to be successful here but you must be Confident, Creative and Driven to succeed

Now, if you have read this far and still feel that you have what we are looking for, then we want to speak with you next week at our offices in London.

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 (OTE)

Basic salary + a high rate of commission. (A performance review will take place after 12 weeks with the possibility of a higher salary + commission offered upon performance).
