Mark Husband, Executive Director – Mark spent most of his career as a Commercial Litigator in Private practice initially with Hammond Suddards and later as head of Commercial Litigation with a boutique practice. Mark is able to provide in depth knowledge of the Private practice sector to support both clients and candidates in achieving their objectives.

Christian Kelly, Head of Insurance – Christian joins Cogence Search Ltd from Davies Arnold Cooper where he was a Partner in their Insurance Litigation Practice Group. Within DAC he specialised in the recovery of subrogated losses on behalf of institutional and other insurer clients with a particular expertise in engineering matters related to the on shore energy sector and product liability matters arising from the food and beverage industry.

Peter Rouse, Senior Consultant – Peter’s career has revolved around the protection of Intellectual Property rights internationally starting with Lovells in the UK; then Baker & McKenzie in Hong Kong and Singapore; and ultimately founding the Rouse firm in 1990. Peter now leads Cogence in the areas of IP/IT, TMT, Media, Data Protection & Privacy and Sport.

Alec Harvey, Senior Consultant – Prior to working in recruitment Alec has had 10 years of experience in the legal industry as a barristers’ clerk and Private Practice fee earner. Alec’s practice and expertise lie in Employment, Private client and commercial property.

Grahame Warby, Consultant – Grahame has spent much of his career working in private practise for major US law firms including White & Case and Sullivan & Cromwell in the corporate, capital markets and project finance sectors. Grahame joined Cogence Search in 2010 to bolster our service delivery in these specific practice areas.

LawWorks

LawWorks is a charity which aims to provide free legal help to individuals and community groups who cannot afford to pay for it and who are unable to access legal aid. In the last year LawWorks helped provide free legal advice to over 40,000 people and around 350 voluntary sector organisations.

We work with just under 100 member law firms and teams of in-house counsel, as well as mediators, law students and solicitors who have been made redundant (see our Choices project), involving them all in pro bono work.
