Senior Administrator

Salary – £17,000 – £22,000

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be working alongside our Sales and Operations departments and interacting closely with the events operations team to ensure the smooth running of the office whilst assisting in event management. So it’s important that you are organised, accurate and pay close attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in Delegate registrations
  • Updating Event Statistics
  • Data Entry / File Management
  • Ordering office stationery supplies / Management of external company suppliers
  • Assisting in supporting clients and internal staff with any issues and queries
  • Answering incoming telephone enquiries
  • Diary Management
  • General administrative tasks: filing, printing, photocopying etc.
  • Additional tasks in order to meet the needs of the business
  • Project management
  • First point of call for IT support

Skills / Characteristics:

  • A min of 3 years administration experience is essential
  • Good Team Player with the ability to interact & communicate at all levels in an organisation
  • Intelligent, sharp, logical and methodical in processes.
  • Tenacious, articulate and confident in dealing with enquiries
  • Resourceful, disciplined, thorough and able to demonstrate organisational skill.
  • Strong IT Skills abilities (Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel is essential)

Business Development Executive – Conferences and Events

Salary – Up to £22,000 + Commission Package

The Business Development Department:

Based from Netlaw Media’s Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, the Business Development team is a fast-paced, results orientated with a supportive management structure. We have a dynamic department that centres on the development and nurture of each individual whilst providing additional training, opportunities and recognition for those that excel.

The Role

You will be proactively selling our industry leading events and portfolio to both existing and potential customers within the legal sector. You will be using professional sales tools and techniques in order to diagnose and understand client needs, and then match those needs with our products and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Research, find and identifying senior level executives based on the events requirement.
  • Attract, engage and sell to prospective delegates through various methods including phone calls, research, networking and social media.
  • Identify the needs of the prospect and influence decisions within the whole ‘decision making’ unit based on added value.
  • Uphold the image & credibility of Netlaw Media, ensuring all questions, objections or conditions are met or answered.
  • Follow up and develop long standing working relationships with CEO’s, Managing Partners and Partners within the legal sector.
  • Generate new business and increase revenue from existing clients.
  • Track and measure your own development (supported by our In-House training programme).
  • Work closely with Production, Marketing and Sponsorship functions to deliver successful events and results.
  • Accurately forecast and report activities and results.
  • Provide input into the direction and strategy used for current and future campaigns.

Skills / Characteristics

The ideal candidate will be / have:

  • A min of 2 years’ experience working in either an event delegate sales role or a commercial B2B outbound telesales role (Experience must be recent).
  • A desire to build a career in event sales.
  • Driven and purposeful, committed and hardworking, ambitious and motivated in order to keep up with the pace of the business.
  • Intelligent, sharp and logical.
  • Tenacious, articulate and confidence in engaging at director level.

This role is offering a base salary of up to £22,000 + commission which could see the successful candidate surpassing £30,000 OTE in the first year.

Sponsorship Sales Executive – Events & Exhibitions

Expected Year 1 OTEUp to £50,000 (OTE)

With a record of selling out its last 18 major law events, Netlaw Media specialises in producing highly informative conferences, events, exhibitions and training programs delivered by renowned UK, European and Internationally acclaimed speakers from the legal and commercial worlds such as; Sir Tim Berners-Lee (Inventor of the World Wide Web), Dr. Michio Kaku, Randi Zuckerberg (ex-Facebook), Christian Horner OBE (Team Principal at Red Bull Racing), James Caan (Dragons Den), Lord Digby Jones of Birmingham and leading inventor and futurist Ray Kurzweil to name a few.

With the company producing some of the biggest events in Europe, we are now looking to appoint an experienced Sponsorship Sales Executive to work from our Head Office in Chelmsford, Essex.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience within sponsorship sales and have a very good understanding of events within the professional service sector.

The successful candidate will be working across the companies key events portfolio were you will not only maintain a high level of account management, but you will also be responsible for developing new clients for a wide range of law related events and exhibitions.

Requirements & Responsibilities include;

  • A minimum of 3 years’ proven experience exceeding targets within sponsorship sales
  • Strong command of the legal market or professional service market or solid experience with on-boarding blue chips. (This could mean that you have solid experience selling sponsorship packages to the legal, accountancy, finance or management sectors).
  • Researching, attracting, closing, retaining and managing new accounts
  • Managing, developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, leading organisations and partners
  • Building a pipeline whilst surpassing all set sales targets for each month / event
  • The ability to be self-starting and to work without supervision
  • A very confident phone manner, strong negotiation skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to be proactive, resilient and confident when dealing with clients at a senior level. You will need to have excellent time management skills, be motivated by achieving and exceeding targets and have an excellent command of English both written and verbal.

There is a generous base salary of up to £26,000 + commission which could easily see the successful candidate surpassing £50,000 OTE in the first year.

Senior Conference Producer – Large Events

Salary: £28,000 – £36,000

Reporting directly to the CEO and Managing Director and supported by a senior events operations executive and events operations assistant, Netlaw Media is currently seeking to hire an experienced conference producer (with experience producing large conferences within legal and / or professional services) to produce a range of new and existing conferences and exhibitions for the UK legal sector.

To be considered for this role, applicants should have;

  • A minimum of 5 years producing large conferences and / or exhibitions within legal or professional services.
  • A good understanding of the mechanics behind large events and exhibitions and how successful events are produced and staged.
  • A proven ability to identify, develop and roll out financially successful events from conception to completion.
  • The ability to manage all aspects of conference production including (but not limited to) pre-event planning, event programming, content selection, speaker acquisition, speaker relations, delegate attraction, event marketing, on-site management, post-event evaluation and reporting.
  • Complete end to end management of conferences including: full management of venues, facilities, suppliers, registration, delegates, AV & technical, transportation, exhibition & signage, stage set / design, crisis planning, health & safety, security and risk assessment.
  • A proven record of researching, attracting and contracting speakers and suppliers.
  • Strong experience supporting and working alongside sales and marketing teams.
  • Setting & maintaining conference budgets as well as sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with venues, suppliers and external vendors to achieve the highest standard of excellence and cost efficiencies.
  • A proven ability to manage and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of the legal and / or professional sectors as well as the ability to conduct in-depth research whilst keeping up to date with changes within the sector.
  • A clear understanding of all conference & exhibition risk, health & safety, hospitality guidelines, compliance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven on-site conference management skills including organising staff, greeting speakers, running a multiple stage programme to a set schedule.
  • The ability to be self-starting and to work without supervision.
  • A confident phone manner, strong skills of persuasion and negotiation.
  • The ability to think outside the circle and to bring new and exciting ideas to the table.

This role will be based from our head office in Chelmsford and will offer the right candidate both the opportunity to produce existing conferences whilst developing a range of new conferences within the legal sector. You will need to be proactive, resilient and extremely confident when dealing with clients at all levels.

You will need to have excellent time management skills, be motivated by achieving and exceeding targets and have an excellent command of English both written and verbal.

The basic salary for candidates with at least 5 years relevant experience will range from £28,000 – £36,000 p.a
