Jason Plant – Head of Lawyer Technology, DLA Piper

Jason is Head of Lawyer Technology at DLA Piper. After starting his IT career in the utilities industry, Jason now has twenty years’ experience in Legal IT. He began the legal IT journey as a developer working on case management software for personal injury claims before moving into intranet development. He then spent several years in project management working on a variety of projects in legal ranging from knowledge management, through intranet and extranet services to document management (with the early adoption of matter centric working and WorkSite 8.0 in 2004).

Jason then became the manager responsible for Knowledge Management, Digital Dictation and Document Management systems within the firm. And now in his current role, is a senior manager responsible for teams that look after the applications and devices that lawyers use in their day to day work.
