BIRCHAM DYSON BELL ADVISES ON CLARANET’S ACQUISITION OF NOTSOSECURE

Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) has acted for leading managed IT services provider Claranet on its acquisition of the NotSoSecure group, the ethical hacking training and penetration testing experts.

NotSoSecure was established in Cambridge and now has teams in San Francisco and India, supporting clients worldwide. Its clients include internationally-renowned businesses, government agencies, FTSE 250 and Fortune 500 companies.

With £325 million in revenue, over 6,500 customers and more than 1,800 employees based in 24 offices and 43 data centres across seven European countries and Brazil, Claranet is an award-winning and leading managed IT service provider.

The BDB team acting on this transaction was led by corporate partner Philip Lamb and senior associate Tessa Trevelyan Thomas, assisted by corporate solicitor Ben Lloyd. Tax, employment and IP support was provided by tax consultant Anthony Davis, employment senior associate Ian Wasserman,IP partner Dennis Lee and trade mark assistant Sophie Soeting.
