British Legal Technology Forum 2019: Samsung Innovation Head confirmed as Keynote Speaker

Attendees of the 2019 British Legal Technology Forum (BLTF) will have the chance to quiz one of the world’s leading scientists and inventors of digital technology. Netlaw Media, the company behind the BLTF, has confirmed that Dr Pranav Mistry has agreed to deliver the event’s keynote speech, and also take part in a question and answer session afterwards as well as an exciting panel discussion alongside Prof. Richard Susskind. The BLTF will take place on 12 March 2019 at the Old Billingsgate in London.

Dr Mistry is Samsung Mobile’s Head of Innovation, and boasts a stellar CV. During his career, he has worked for numerous world-famous organisations, including NASA, Google, Microsoft and UNESCO. An early pioneer of wearable gesture-enabled technology, Dr Mistry also led the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch range. His other work includes the invention of an invisible computer mouse, SPARSH – a novel way to copy and past data between digital devices – and Blinkbot, a gaze and blink-controlled robot.

Commenting on Dr Mistry’s confirmation as BLTF 2019 keynote speaker Frances Armstrong, Netlaw Media’s UK & EMEA Managing Director, says: “Throughout his career, Dr Mistry has envisioned – and help deliver – technology that, at the time, most people could barely imagine, let alone create. We hope that Dr Mistry’s keynote address will inspire BLTF attendees to develop their own innovative solutions, delivering legal services in entirely new ways.”

Besides Dr Mistry’s keynote, BLTF 2019 will also include dozens of expert speakers from the world of law and technology, presenting across four themed stages. In excess of 110 exhibitors are also due to take part in the event. More than 1,200 visitors are expected at BLTF 2019, and the event is expected to sell out several weeks before it takes place. BLTF tickets can be purchased from www.britishlegalitforum.com.
