Entries increase by 90% for ‘The British Legal Technology Awards 2018’

With the deadline now passed for submitting entries to the ‘The British Legal Technology Awards 2018’, Netlaw Media are pleased to announce that entry submissions have increased from the inaugural awards in 2017 by over 90%, with a 200% increase in entries received by law firms.

Netlaw Media’s Managing Director, Frances Armstrong said “To experience such a steep increase of entries is an incredible outcome for both the awards and the legal technology & IT security world. As the producers of Europe’s largest legal IT event (The British Legal Technology Forum) it was evident that there was an appetite for an annual legal technology and IT security awards event to be re-established. However a big thank you must go to Andrew Haslam and Ann Hemming for making the suggestion to consider producing the awards, but more so for highlighting the importance of re-establishing the integrity of the awards entry & judging process. Including, awarding winners trophies to the companies who merit the recognition rather than those which contribute the most funds..

The judging panel remains highly professional and impartial and in order to stage awards which offer honesty and are based solely on the nominations which are submitted by the entrants, no director or staff member of Netlaw Media is involved in the selection or judging process.

The British Legal Technology Awards 2018 boast 11 categories, plus a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Finalists for each category will be announced on Tuesday, 11th September 2018 with winners & runners-up to be announced during a black-tie ceremony in London on Thursday, 1st November 2018.
