National law firm Weightmans LLP has continued its commitment to the arts by renewing its sponsorship of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in its 2017/18 concert season, announced this week.
Weightmans has sponsored the Orchestra for six years, continuing the legacy of Mace & Jones after the firms merged in 2011. Weightmans Partner and new Head of the firm’s Liverpool office Steve Peacock joined Liverpool Philharmonic’s Chief Executive Michael Eakin for the launch of the Orchestra’s 2017/18 season this week.
“Liverpool is known nationwide and beyond for its thriving cultural scene. As long-standing citizens of the city with a Liverpool legacy stretching back almost 200 years, Weightmans is delighted to show its support for local music, talent and art through our continued sponsorship of Liverpool Philharmonic.”
Michael Eakin added:
“We’ve been grateful to benefit from Weightmans’ support over a number of years, and delighted to be working with the firm again in our 017/18 season. Our organisations have a long history at the heart of Liverpool life and a shared commitment to playing our part in our city’s continued success. Weightmans’ long term commitment as a sponsor of Liverpool Philharmonic has helped us to grow year on year as a major cultural force in the city, with national and international reach.”
